Holiday Book Sale!
December is such a busy time of the year. There is decorating the house, shopping for presents, parties to go to, writing out cards, baking, cleaning for company, attending school programs, going to church functions, wrapping presents, standing in line at the post office… Sometimes I just want to scream, “Could I please have one lousy evening for myself?!!!”
And it’s expensive. Presents, fancy food, and extra tips for the postal worker, the hairdresser, the newspaper carrier really strain my budget. I feel guilty spending money on myself when there are still presents to buy. Even a $6.99 book makes me count my pennies. Maybe you feel the same.
